THYROID FUNCTION, TESTING and SYMPTOM SURVEY

Always Tired? You may have a Sub-Clinical Hypothyroid and not know it.

A healthy functioning thyroid is critical to the wellbeing of your entire body. A quick survey below test can reveal a possible over or underactive thyroid or predisposition to a thyroid imbalance.

Fill out the Thyroid Symptom Survey below and contact Fiona to discusss further or make an appointment.

If you already have a recent Thyroid Blood Test result for TSH, T4 and T3, I can use this for assessment and an appropriate treatment plan, if necessary to support the Thyroid Gland in restoration.

Bioresonance (QXCI) and Mineral Testing are two more vital tools for a thorough Thyroid assessment and treatment plan.

What role does the thyroid have in the body?
Thyroid Diagram

The thyroid gland is a bow-tie shaped gland which is located at the front of the neck, just below the Adam’s apple. It produces thyroid hormones called T4 and T3. The thyroid hormone regulates just about every cell in the body, including those in the central nervous system, heart, liver, kidneys, skin, bone and muscles. Among its most important functions is the control of the rate of metabolism, thermogenesis, and oxygen consumption.

Current Thyroid Tests available:
  • Serum thyroid tests: Blood testing of thyroid hormone levels shows how much hormone is available to receptor sites in the hypothalamus located in the brain, not necessarily the level of hormone the body has utilised. It also gives us information about the conversion of the storage form of thyroid hormone (T4) into the active form of thyroid hormone (T3).
  • TSH, T4 and T3 need to be in the optimum range to signal the thyroid is working well.
  • TSH - around 1 is best, 2 ok depending on T4 and T3 results.
  • T4 15 plus
  • T3 around 5-6
  • Thyroid antibody tests assist in the diagnosis of autoiimmune conditions, Graves or Hashimoto’s Disease.
  • Body basal temperature requires taking your temperature first thing in the morning before getting out of bed. Temperature must be taken at the same time everyday to provide accurate results. Results can give information on the status of both the thyroid and adrenal glands. I can provide temperature charts and interpretation.
